Our FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions We have a list of frequently asked questions and answers about our Easy Rider Tours. We strive to give you the best experience possible.

1. Are there any extra fees that I will have to pay on top of the listed price? Please be informed that our tours are fully inclusive (accommodation (if booked multi day tour), tour guide, motorcycle rental, helmet, gas, protection gears, waterproof bags/raincoat and entry fees), and what you need to pay is just your own food & drinks. So you can completely focus on your holiday, the sense of adventure no hidden costs or other surprises during the ride with us!

2. I am travelling alone, can I still book a Easy rider tour? Yes, we organize guided motorcycle tours for individuals or small groups (if enough attendants) so that the trip can be flexible, tailored and able to meet our guests' expectations. Therefore, please don't hesitate to contact us and book your tour as you could experience more when you are alone. However, if you want to join others for the tour, then please provide the exact date, start point and destination, we will then put you with others.

3. Do I need a valid Vietnamese motorbike license? If you ride pillion on the back of the tour guide's motorbike, then you don't need to have driving license or experience. You can just sit back, relax, enjoy and take million photos! ;) If you drive the motorbike by yourself, then a valid national driving permit or a valid license with motorbike amendment from your home country. That is all required, because you are on a guided motorbike tour with us.

4. What are the rules of the road? We drive on the right-hand side of the road. All speed limits are in km/h, 30-50 for towns, 50 for suburbs and 70 for major (A) roads and dual carriageways. The way we travel is to get off the bustles of the cities and ride to the countryside or rugged mountains so there are often kids, dogs, buffaloes, chickens, etc., kicking around in the country roads... Therefore, if you ride by yourself and if you see the tour guide using brake, there will be a good reason, and you should use it, too! Many Vietnamese ignore the typical unwritten rules of road positioning and merging you are used to in the West. So rule number 1 is "follow your tour guide" and rule number 2 is "follow rule number 1"!;)

5. Where do I store my luggage when touring? If you are pillion passenger, then we put your luggage (rucksack) in waterproof bags and strap nicely on the back of our motorcycle. You are able to lean back comfortably when we travel.If you travel with suitcases and they are too heavy to carry on the bike, then we can send them to our last destination, we then collect them when we arrive. (+additional cost)

6. What motorcycles are used for an Easy Riders tour in Vietnam? We will riding Sporty Naked Bike, one of the best motorcycle touring available in Vietnam. We also have the Honda XR150L for riding off road as the latest edition to our fleet, all the motorbike are big sized suitable for foreigners to have suitable drive. The cost to rent one of our motorcycles is included in the price of the tour. Please note: When you are in a group of motorcycle riding on our tours is arranged in a convoy formation, with a tour guide leader in the front and support vehicle the rear. No independent riding is allowing during the tour.

7. Where do the tours start from? Our Easy Riders Tours are really flexible, we are able to start and finish trip anywhere you require, as: hotel, bus station, railway station, airport or even at a cafe!;). For the self-ride tours, we need to start from our place where the motorcycles are stored or a where we can take down our motorcycles from the truck.

8. What should I bring when I go on a Easy Riders tour? Clothing, swimmingsuits, toilet bag, sturdy shoes, your passport, money, sunscreen and something for the mosquitoes. We recommend you to wear long pants/trousers and shoes (wearing slippers or open shoes are not allowed). Drinking water bottles can be purchased en route.

9. How much should I spend for food & drinks per day? Food and drinks are pretty affordable & cheap in Vietnam, and we don't travel to the big cities but the countryside of Vietnam so it's even more affordable than you expect. You might spend +$USD 12 per person per day, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and soft drinks (not alcohol drinks though!

10. Are children suitable for joining Easy Riders tours? Yes, all of our tours are surprisingly family-friendly! As what we show you on the tours are not only the destinations where we stay overnight, but also the in-between places. Therefore, frequently en-route to show you the beautiful sights, be with the locals to learn the cultures or relax on the comfortable hammocks on the roadside's cafes We also provide support van following the cycles if required. Therefore, if you have small children, then your children can travel with the support van while you (and your partner) enjoy the adventure riding the motorbike by yourselves or on the back of the Easy Rider guides' bikes.

11. Do I have to make a reservation or can I just show up? We recommend you to reserve in advance to avoid the disappointment. Reservations help us determine the number of guides we need to ensure that our groups remain manageable and enjoyable, and they allow us to notify you of changes to the tour due to weather or anything that could disturb the tours. However, you can show up at our our office in Hanoi or contact us and if we still have tour guides/ motorcycles available by that time, then we can make the trip happens!

Winter or extreme weather: Thermal underwear or base layers, Beanie/woolly hat/balaclava, Gloves / Hand warmers

Wet weather: Raincoat, Small Umbrella, Waterproof bags for rain protection while walking, waterproof & windproof jacket, Waterproof trousers

Personal health: First aid kit, Personal medication/prescriptions, Prescription glasses, Contact lenses and solution High protection sunscreen (25+), Lip balm/lip salve, Hat/wide brim hat, Sunglasses, Insect repellent, Antihistamine/insect bite cream, Antibacterial gel/wipes, Travel sickness tablets, Travel vaccination certificates, After-sun moisturizer, Anti-malaria pills (if recommended by the doctor), Aspirin and/or paracetamol, Dehydration powder (salts & glucose), Anti-diarrhea pills (consult your doctor for more detailed advice)

Luggage: On the vast majority of our trips you are expected to carry your own luggage also during the trekking.
